Good Habits

Think like a Winner and not like a Whiner

Are you a winner or are you a whiner? What type of habit has formed you? Habits form how you think, so if you think like a winner,  you have good habits. If you think like a whiner, then you better start breaking bad habits in order to develop good habits!

We all know that your success is hidden in your daily habits. If your daily habits are all about whining (like a loser), how do you ever expect to achieve success (like a winner)? Break those bad habits! (related topic: “Breaking Bad Habits“).

“Losers live in the past. Winners learn from the past and enjoy working in the present toward the future.” Denis Waitly

Winning takes commitment. Creating good habits takes commitment. What does this mean?

In order to have any type of success in life you need to be ALL of the next ten things – this is straight from the book: “The 10 Distinctions between Winners and Whiners” by Keith Cameron Smith

Here they are:

10. Winners take responsibility. Whiners play the victim.
In our “The Success and Opportunity Readiness Track“ you’ll learn about taking responsibility. This is how to prepare for success!
9. Winners can have what they want. Whiners want what they cannot have.
Winners take action!
8. Winners find a way. Whiners find an excuse.

7. Winners brighten a room by entering. Whiners brighten a room by leaving.
Both a positive attitude and a negative attitude is contagious. You can see it right when a person enters a room – which one do you infect people with?
6. Winners listen twice as much as they talk. Whiners talk twice as much as they listen.
Listening is better than listening. Sometimes you should shut up and listen!
5. Winners enjoy life’s journeys. Whiners put their joy in the destinations.
Life and success is a journey. Its all about recognizing an amazing journey.
4. Winners build friendships. Whiners destroy friendships.
Who is your circle of influence? Is it growing? Or is it dwindling away.
3. Winners think big. Whiners think small.
Dream a big dream – so what if a small dream comes true!
2. Winners are focus-minded. Whiners are scatterbrained.
Want to achieve goals? Make a list!
1. Winners create positive meanings. Whiners create negative meanings.
Everything can be turned into a positive experience. Whiners make the experience their excuse to fail.

The question is – what are you? If you are a whiner, can you recognize it? If you can, can you change?

It’s up to you!
